“Babble On was able to take charge, work miracles and help create a fantastic event in timelines and with budget constraints that were simply ridiculous. The best part is that even the difficult conversations were a pleasure to have with Susan. She was solutions-oriented, clear and optimistic. There is no greater pleasure than to be in such capable hands, when the rest of the world is falling down around you.”

Dr. Irvin Waller is the internationally recognized expert in crime prevention and victims' rights and author of the book "Less Law, More Order: The Truth about Reducing Crime" (Praeger Publishers, 2006)
"The streets will run with the blood of more innocent victims unless we fundamentally change our approach to crime,” says Waller. “On an average day, there are more than two million Americans behind bars and another five million on probation or parole,” noting that the government is spending recklessly on police prisons and judges – a record $200 billion at last count – without addressing the causes of crime.
“It’s a vicious cycle and the only way we can break out of it is to deal with what is causing the violence. This is what some cities in other countries are doing, following U.S. examples. The astonishingly high incarceration rate in the U.S. signals a massive systemic failure and it’s time for Americans to demand better,” says Waller.
Waller, who has three decades of experience advising governments around the world, founded the International Centre for the Prevention of Crime, which is affiliated with the United Nations and is a founding director of the International Organization for Victim Assistance based in Oregon. Meagan's Walk
Meagan’s Walk: Creating a Circle of Hope enters its seventh year, walking ever closer to a day when brain tumours will no longer be the leading cause of cancerous death in kids and adolescents under the age of 20. A unique event, Meagan’s Walk was inspired by five-year-old Meagan Bebenek who passed away from brain stem glioma, a terminal form of brain cancer, in June 2001.
On Mother’s Day, the annual five kilometre walk will commence at Ontario Place culminating in a giant human hug around The Hospital for Sick Children. The hug is a symbol of love, support, hope and healing for the children who are being treated, their families and everyone involved in their care from the EMS workers who transport them, to the doctors, nurses and all staff, seen and unseen who work tirelessly to save young lives.
Where once hundreds gathered, now thousands stand together, united by hope, in support of families who struggle with paediatric brain tumours. Please visit www.meaganswalk.com to learn more.

Childhood Cancer Foundation
Childhood Cancer Foundation (CCF) was founded in 1987 as a support organization to help children with cancer and their families. They are the only national organization in Canada dedicated entirely to the fight against childhood cancer and achieve their goal of improving the lives of children through a variety of programs and services including the funding and promotion of childhood cancer research, support and resource programs for children with cancer and their families and issues advocacy.
CCF recently partnered with The St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which coordinates worldwide head-shaving events, with volunteer “shavees” raising money to support childhood cancer research. The action of shaving one’s head at an event is to both raise funds and show solidarity to the kids who typically lose their hair during cancer treatments. Since 2000, head-shavings have taken place in 18 countries and 46 U.S. states, raising more than $34 million, and shaving more than 46,000 heads.

About the Kratt Brothers Creatures Hero Society
The Kratt Brothers have helped empower children throughout North America to make the world a better place for the wild animals they love through their not-for-profit Kratt Brothers Creature Hero Society (KBCH). KBCH’s first project mobilized kids across North America to help save a parcel of land crucial to the survival of the endangered grizzly bear. This resulted in the creation of a bear refuge know as Grizzly Gulch, key to the survival of grizzly bears, of whom there are fewer than 1000 in the lower 48 states. www.krattbrothers.com
